The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship is one of India’s largest and most impactful scholarship programs, proudly initiated by the SBI Foundation. Our core mission is to empower meritorious students from low-income families across India, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their educational aspirations.
This scholarship offers substantial support to a wide range of students:
School Students: Classes 9 to 12
Higher Education: Undergraduate and postgraduate courses at India’s top 300 NIRF universities/colleges, IITs, or MBA/PGDM programs at IIMs.
Study Abroad: Students pursuing postgraduate and higher courses at premier international institutions (Top 200 in QS/THE World University Rankings for 2024-25).
Selected students can receive life-changing financial assistance up to INR 20 lakh to support their academic endeavors.
Special Invitation to Students from Specific Regions:
To promote widespread educational opportunity, we are particularly encouraging applications from students in Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Puducherry, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. Eligible students from these States and Union Territories are warmly invited to apply and benefit from this invaluable academic support.

Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
To be considered for the SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2026-27, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Nationality: Must be an Indian national.
Category: Must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
Academic Level: Open to students pursuing Postgraduate and above courses from premier institutions abroad (specifically those listed in the Top 200 in QS/THE World University Rankings for 2024-25).
Academic Performance: A minimum of 7 CGPA or 75% marks in their previous academic year.
Family Income: Gross annual family income must not exceed INR 6,00,000.
Important Notes & Special Provisions:
SC/ST Relaxation: A 10% relaxation in marks is provided for SC/ST students (6.30 CGPA or 67.50% marks).
Gender Reservation: 50% of scholarship slots are reserved specifically for female applicants.
Category Reservation: 50% of scholarship slots are reserved for SC/ST students (25% for SC, 25% for ST).
Mandatory SBI Bank Account: It is compulsory to have an SBI Bank account for shortlisting. Please upload your SBI Bank account passbook with your application. If you do not have an SBI account, kindly open one before proceeding.

Important Note on Renewal:
SBI Foundation is committed to supporting students throughout their entire course. Scholarship renewal is possible and subject to students consistently meeting the minimum eligibility criteria each academic year and adherence to specific Terms & Conditions.

Government-issued identity proof (e.g., Aadhaar card).
Current year fee receipt.
Proof of current year admission (e.g., admission letter, institution identity card, or bonafide certificate).
Applicant’s SBI bank account details (or parent’s, if applicable).
Proof of income (e.g., Form 16A, income certificate from a government authority, or salary slips).
Recent photograph of the applicant.
