About the Program

The Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholarship Programme 2025–26 is a CSR initiative by Haleon India, the makers of Sensodyne, in collaboration with Buddy4Study (B4S) and the Indian Dental Association (IDA). The programme aims to empower meritorious yet financially constrained first-year students pursuing the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course in government or government-aided colleges across India. As part of Haleon India’s commitment to making oral healthcare education more accessible, selected students will receive financial assistance of ₹2,00,000 disbursed as ₹50,000 per year for four years to support their academic and living expenses.

What is the Eligibility

  • Open to students in their first year of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program
  • PAN India students are eligible to apply
  • Students from government colleges or government-aided colleges who have been awarded a government seat in their respective colleges.
    • Note: Explicit documentation will be required to prove the same.
  • Student must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in their previous class/semester.
  • Students whose family income from all sources is not more than INR 8,00,000 p.a. are eligible.
    • Note: A certificate not older than 2 years will be required.
  • Students who are currently receiving any other scholarship are not eligible to apply.
  • Children of employees of Haleon, Give Grants, and Buddy4Study are not eligible

Note: Once selected, the Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholars must maintain a minimum 60% score in each semester/year to continue with the scholarship renewal.

  • Log in to Buddy4Study with your registered ID and land on the ‘Application Form Page’.
    • If not registered, register at Buddy4Study with your Email/Mobile number/Google account.
  • You will now be redirected to the ‘Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholarship Programme 2025-26’ application form page.
  • Click on the ‘Start Application’ button to begin the application process.
  • Fill in the required details in the online application form.
  • Upload relevant documents.
  • Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and click on ‘Preview’. 
  • If all the details filled in by the applicant are correctly showing on the preview screen, click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the application process.

Benefits

Scholarship of ₹50,000 per year for 4 years.

Note: The scholarship can be utilised only for academic expenses such as tuition fees, hostel fees, food, internet, mobile, laptop, books, stationery, online learning, etc.

Required Documents

  • Recent passport-size photograph of the applicant
  • Marksheet of the last academic year or semester
  • Government-issued ID proof (Voter ID, Driving License, or PAN Card)
  • Proof of current admission (Fee Receipt, Admission Letter, Institution ID Card, or Bonafide Certificate)
  • Family income proof (Income Certificate issued by local authorities, EWS Certificate, or latest Income Tax Return)
  • Bank account details of the applicant or their parent/guardian

Note: Starting from the second year, the scholars must submit an academic grade report of the last exam passed and a character certificate from their college to be eligible for the scholarship in subsequent years.
