About the Program
The Letje Lips Amsterdam Merit Scholarship 2026-27 is an opportunity offered by the University of Amsterdam (UvA) to students having applied for a Master’s programme. This scholarship aims to provide opportunities to international students to complete their higher education in Hungary. The selected candidates shall receive a scholarship of €37,500.

What is the Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- hold a non-EU/EEA nationality and not be eligible for the statutory tuition fees.
- be a first-time student at a university (or university of applied sciences) in the Netherlands.
- not be currently enrolled in a pre-Master’s programme at a Dutch university (including the UvA) or have completed an exchange programme in the Netherlands.
- have submitted a complete application at the Graduate School of Humanities for a one-year, non-selective English-taught Master’s programme (Note: Research and Dual Master’s programmes are not eligible).
- be able to comply with Dutch visa regulations

Selection Criteria
The candidates for LLAMS are selected on the basis of the evaluation of the applications by the selection committee.
More Details about this Scholarship
- Applicants need not secure admission at the time of the LLAMS deadline; however, the LLAMS will only be awarded to a (conditionally) accepted candidate.
- They must not have been granted another scholarship in addition to the LLAMS and must notify the Admissions Office of the Graduate School of Humanities if another scholarship is awarded.
- They must submit certified documents (diploma or graduation statement and final transcripts) by 1 August 2026 if selected for the LLAMS and conditionally accepted.
